Elisabeth and Matthew gave us the following brief: they wanted a Bali beachfront villa wedding. Further they requested the day to be rather informal and casual, yet elegant and inspiring. Another detail they were very particular about is that they wanted the beach to be rather empty and deserted. To have their photos taken in privacy and to get those extra wide angle shots with them and a lots of beach environment. So we choose a villa in the north of Canggu, overlooking the ocean. The beaches there tend to be rather deserted. Exactly what they couple wanted.
The altar décor was simple but elegant with a bamboo structure covered in white cloths and some accentuated flower décor. About 60 guests were in attendance during this Bali beachfront villa wedding. That made the whole wedding quite intimate and relaxed.
The ceremony was set rather early in the afternoon allowing the couple enough to have all the group and family photos taken and also some portrait shots on the beach. And still have time to mingle with their guests and enjoy the event. We usually recommend couples to have this approach as it will help them to have a more relaxed wedding day. As opposed to a wedding with a tight schedule.
During the sunset period Elisabeth & Matt and the bridal party had a gorgeous photosession on the beach. They then retired for a while to relax and freshen up for the reception. Shortly after nightfall the reception commenced. One of the bonuses that a Bali beachfront villa wedding gives you is that there is always a slight breeze coming in from the ocean. That is usually a blessing for outdoor events in Bali as it provides for some natural cooling in the tropical heat.
The couple deliberately chose not to have many formalities during the evening. That allowed them to spend more time with their friends and family.
